Below is a draft of an unpublished article I wrote on July, 31st 1969, Exploring “Djalan Rante” a track cut by Dutch Mountain Climbers and Explorers, circling Mt Gede Crater in 1909.
On this Exploration trip I was accompanied by the late Zantoro Zanzibar and the late “Ian” Sofian Taib; in 1972 Ian joined Mapala UI, membership number M-052-UI.
The blue ink correction on the Draft was the late Soe Hok-gie’s hand writing- (I have asked him to proof read this article).
